Seiko Presage Classic Series x Tradman’s Bonsai Limited Edition Watch in Matsuba-iro green HCC009J1

This limited edition Presage timepiece is created in collaboration with Tradman’s Bonsai – a leading Japanese bonsai collective that merges centuries-old horticulture with modern fashion, lifestyle and design. Their mission is to share the traditional Japanese art of bonsai with the world.

This timepiece is inspired by the crescent shaped bonsai ‘moon’ pot cherished in bonsai philosophy, representative of harmony and nature’s balance of yin and yang. This design captures the serene beauty of a black pine bonsai illuminated by moonlight. Coloured in Matsuba-Iro, a deep green traditional shade that represents pine needles, the dial features a newly developed embossed pattern that reflects the texture of aged pine bark. Matsuba-Iro symbolises longevity, immortality, and resilience.

Under a dual-curve sapphire glass is a curved and textured dial with a wrapped finish, paired with curved hands to maximise and reflect light. The case and bracelet have gold coloured plating whilst an additional strap is embossed with a ‘three-pronged pine’ pattern.

The watch is powered by the in-house 6R51 automatic calibre, accurate to +25/-15 seconds per day with an approximate 72-hour power reserve.
